AI Summary
This bill, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Trust Land Act, aims to transfer approximately 20 acres of federal land to the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona to be held in trust for their benefit, with the transfer becoming effective once the Tucson Unified School District relinquishes its interest in one of the parcels and the Secretary of the Interior approves a lease agreement for a transportation facility on the Tribe's land. The bill specifically defines "District" as the Tucson Unified School District, "Map" as a map dated January 15, 2013, "Secretary" as the Secretary of the Interior, and "Tribe" as the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona. Importantly, the bill prohibits any gaming activities on these newly held trust lands and ensures that any water rights associated with these lands cannot be forfeited or abandoned, while also clarifying that the Tribe retains its water rights under state law.
