This bill, known as the Anti-Road Rage Act, amends Section 32-5A-80 of the Alabama Code to require vehicles on interstate highways to remain in the rightmost lane unless passing another vehicle or under certain exceptions, such as traffic congestion or inclement weather. The bill also provides a 60-day warning period for violations and clarifies that it is excluded from certain local funding requirements due to the creation of a new crime. The bill will become effective three months after passage and approval.
