This Resolution encourages the Georgia Department of Economic Development to collaborate with Dr. Queen Blessing Itua, the Global Empowerment Movement (GEM), and the African Union Sixth Region USA Foundation to establish a GEM Center aimed at empowering underprivileged and vulnerable African people in need (APIN) and providing microenterprise training programs for families. It also calls for fostering the well-being of families and vulnerable individuals affected by crimes like human trafficking and domestic abuse, promoting the education and training of African business and professional leaders, encouraging the use of modern technology in various sectors in Africa, Georgia, and the US, and facilitating capacity development to train African legislators and professionals on policy-making and skill development, including women's empowerment and youth enrichment. The resolution also directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide copies of this resolution to the Chair of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, the Commissioner of Economic Development, and Dr. Queen Blessing Itua.
