AI Summary

This bill permits any school board in Virginia to solicit and receive donations or other funds for the purpose of eliminating or offsetting school meal debt, and requires the school boards to use such funds solely for that purpose. Additionally, the bill prohibits school employees from requiring students who cannot pay for a meal or owe a debt to do chores or other work to pay for the meals, or from requiring them to wear a wristband or hand stamp. Instead, the policy requires school employees to communicate any issues with meal debt directly with the student's parent.
