AI Summary

This bill, the Homemade Food Freedom Act, amends the previous Home Bakery Act of 2013 to rename it and make several changes. The key provisions are: 1. It renames the act to the Homemade Food Freedom Act. 2. It removes previous definitions and adds new definitions, such as for "nonpotentially hazardous" and "potentially hazardous" homemade food products. 3. It exempts the production and sale of certain nonpotentially hazardous homemade food products from licensing and regulation by the state, allowing direct-to-consumer sales and delivery. For potentially hazardous homemade products, it requires direct sales to consumers and delivery by the producer. 4. It establishes labeling requirements for homemade food products to inform consumers they were produced in a private residence exempt from government licensing and inspection. 5. It clarifies that the act does not prevent state agencies from investigating reported foodborne illnesses or providing assistance to producers. 6. It amends the existing law on beekeeper exemptions to allow for delivery and retail sales of honey and honeycomb products.
