This Concurrent Resolution commends and congratulates the Murrah High School Mustang Speech and Debate Team and their coach, Micah Everson, for their achievements at two national tournaments in 2019 and for having four seniors named Academic All-Americans by the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA). The Academic All-American award, given by the NSDA, recognizes students for their competitive success in speech and debate, strong academic performance (a GPA of 3.7 or higher), and outstanding leadership and character, with fewer than two percent of NSDA student members earning this honor annually. The resolution also highlights specific accomplishments at the National Catholic Forensic League (NCFL) Tournament and the NSDA Tournament, including individual placements and the team's historic advancement in World Schools Debate, and acknowledges Coach Everson's dedication.
