This bill continues the regulation of private investigators in Colorado for 5 more years, until September 1, 2025. It removes the current provision that was set to repeal the regulation of private investigators on September 1, 2020, and instead extends the regulation until the new repeal date of September 1, 2025. The bill also clarifies the intent of the general assembly to spread the repayment of the deficit generated by the previous voluntary program over the life of the new mandatory program, which now runs until 2025.
