This bill amends Section 67-1-29 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to provide that the compensation for the sworn officers of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division of the Department of Revenue, including the Chief of Enforcement, Deputy Chief of Enforcement, Agent in Charge, and Enforcement Agents I through VII, shall be determined by a special compensation plan that is approved by the State Personnel Board, rather than being set by the commission. The bill also clarifies that the director, secretary, agents, inspectors, clerks, and other employees of the commission shall be reimbursed for their actual and necessary traveling and other expenses incurred in the discharge of their official duties, and that such compensation and expenses shall be paid from funds appropriated for the support of the commission.
