This bill amends the Mississippi Code to expand the authority of the Occupational Licensing Review Commission (the Commission) to review existing occupational regulations promulgated by occupational licensing boards, in addition to proposed new regulations. The bill defines "active supervision" to include the Commission's ability to review existing regulations and, if determined to be noncompliant with state policy, either declare the regulation invalid after 60 days or provide the licensing board an opportunity to amend the regulation. The bill also clarifies that the Commission's active supervision does not extend to individual disciplinary actions taken by the licensing boards.
