This bill, known as the "Foreign Fraudulent Judgment Protection Act," allows courts in Mississippi to consider the issues of due process and fraud before enforcing a foreign judgment. If the court finds merit in the due process or fraud claims, the court must resolve those issues in a competent jurisdiction before enforcing the foreign judgment, and it must issue a protective order prohibiting the enforcement of the foreign judgment in Mississippi. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2021.
