This bill: - Amends the laws governing the regulation and oversight of x-ray equipment and other sources of ionizing radiation, including changing terminology to refer to "x-ray equipment and other sources of ionizing radiation" instead of just "x-ray machines". - Modifies the requirements for examinations and training of operators of x-ray and other ionizing radiation equipment, expanding the types of providers who can perform this work. - Changes the requirements for inspections of x-ray and other ionizing radiation equipment, requiring inspections at least once every four years. - Modifies the laws governing medical cannabis manufacturers, including requirements for inspections and a state-centralized, seed-to-sale tracking system. - Increases certain application and renewal fees for the Board of Pharmacy, with additional fees deposited into the opiate epidemic response fund. - Makes various changes to the laws governing physician assistants, including modifying the scope of practice and prescribing authority, licensing requirements, and disciplinary procedures. - Authorizes pharmacists to prescribe certain medications like self-administered hormonal contraceptives, nicotine replacement medications, and opiate antagonists, and requires health plans to cover these pharmacist-prescribed medications. - Makes various other changes to health care laws, including provisions related to child protection, nursing facility resident transfer notices, medical assistance coverage, and more.
