This bill authorizes Carol McEnany, a retired Tier 2 member of the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System, to receive certain retirement benefit enhancements set forth in Article 19 of the Retirement and Social Security Law, despite being ineligible for these enhancements for reasons not attributable to her own negligence. The bill requires McEnany to file a request with the State Comptroller within six months of the bill's effective date, and the retirement benefit will be calculated and paid retroactively to her date of retirement. The costs associated with implementing the provisions of this act will be borne by the State of New York, and the act will take effect immediately.
