This bill makes changes to the laws around milk pasteurization in New Hampshire. The key provisions are: 1) It exempts milk producers who daily produce or process less than 20 gallons of raw milk into certain dairy products like cheese, yogurt, and butter from needing a milk producer-distributor license, as long as these products are sold directly to consumers within New Hampshire. The bill also allows these producers to make and sell ice cream and frozen yogurt in containers of 6 fluid ounces or less, as long as the products are marked with a 30-day expiration date. 2) It requires that any raw milk products sold by these exempt producers must be clearly labeled with a statement that "consuming raw milk may increase your risk of foodborne illness." 3) The bill takes effect 60 days after passage.
