This Resolution commends Jacob "Jake" Rendleman for his extensive public service, spanning over four decades, primarily dedicated to the people and public education systems of Illinois. Rendleman's contributions include roles as a teacher, business owner, community leader, and farmer in southern Illinois. His commitment to public education is highlighted by his long service on the John A. Logan College Board of Trustees, including terms as board chair, and his involvement with the John A. Logan College Foundation. Furthermore, he held leadership positions at the state level, serving as President of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association and as a trustee representative to the Illinois Community College Board for many years, receiving bipartisan re-appointments from three different governors.
