Bill Summary

An Act to promote continued fairness in women's sports.

AI Summary

This bill aims to promote continued fairness in women's sports by designating all interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams and sports as either for females, males, or coeducational/mixed, based on the biological sex of the team members at birth. It prohibits students of the male sex from participating in teams designated for females, women, or girls. The bill also provides a private right of action for students who are deprived of athletic opportunities or suffer harm due to a violation of this provision, as well as for schools, school districts, or institutions of higher education that suffer harm from a violation of this law. The private cause of action allows for injunctive relief, damages, and other available legal remedies.
