This bill amends the Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program to remove the requirement that a student must have attended a public school in the prior school year to be eligible for the scholarship. The bill also allows students experiencing homelessness and students who were in out-of-home placement or adopted from the Department of Human Services to be eligible for the scholarship without the prior school year attendance requirement. Additionally, the bill provides clarification on how the scholarship amount is calculated, including if a private school does not charge tuition.
