This bill affirms and offers supplemental compact terms for tribal-state tobacco products excise tax agreements in Oklahoma. Specifically, it: 1) Affirms and extends the term of existing compacts between the state and tribes until December 31, 2024, preventing unilateral termination prior to that date; and 2) Restores and extends until December 31, 2024 certain expired compacts that were in effect as of January 1, 2019. The bill aims to maintain the cooperative spirit between the state and tribal governments on tax matters, which has provided benefits to all parties. Tribes can accept the supplemental terms by submitting a letter to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
