This bill, effective November 1, 2015, permits any "business entity"—defined as any person, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or other lawfully organized entity—to refuse to provide services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods, or privileges to any lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender person, group, or association. The bill further stipulates that such a refusal will not result in any civil or criminal penalties under state or local law, and the business entity will be immune from civil liability for any damages arising from the refusal.
