This bill requires public schools in Texas to notify parents each school year, by November 1, about the overall immunization status of students enrolled at the school, specifically informing them of the number of students who have not received the immunizations required by the Department of State Health Services. This notification will not include information about individual students' vaccination records, and schools are exempt from this requirement if all students at the school have received all necessary immunizations. The commissioner of education is authorized to create rules to implement this new requirement, which applies starting with the 2015-2016 school year.
