This bill expands the list of acceptable forms of identification for voting in Virginia by allowing voters to present a valid student photo identification card issued by any institution of higher education located in any other state or territory of the United States, in addition to existing options such as a Virginia driver's license, a U.S. passport, or a student ID from a Virginia-based institution. This change aims to provide more flexibility for students attending colleges and universities outside of Virginia who are voting in their home state.
