This bill mandates that student facilities in school buildings, such as locker rooms, restrooms, and shower rooms accessible to multiple students, must be designated for either female or male students and can only be used by students of the biological gender for which the facility is designated, with "biological gender" defined as the physical condition of being male or female determined by chromosomes and identified at birth by anatomy. The bill also creates a new offense of "single sex public facility trespass," making it a Class A misdemeanor for a male to knowingly or intentionally enter a public facility designated for females, or for a female to knowingly or intentionally enter a public facility designated for males, with exceptions for custodial purposes, medical assistance, or accompanying a child under eight years old.
