This bill requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to allow a person who has an implanted medical device to voluntarily make a notation on his or her driver's license or identification card. Under the provisions of the bill, the designation is required to be made in accordance with procedures established by the MVC. In addition, the bill provides that the designation is to be used by law enforcement officials or emergency medical professionals to diagnose a person who has been rendered unable to communicate as a result of an accident or injury, and it cannot be used for any other purpose by any other person.
