This Resolution establishes the Joint Craft Brewery and Distillery Study Committee, a group composed of eight members, with four appointed by the President of the Senate and four by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who will also serve as cochairpersons. The committee's primary purpose is to study the conditions, needs, issues, and problems related to craft breweries and distilleries, and to recommend any necessary actions or legislation. The cochairpersons are responsible for calling meetings, which can be held at any convenient time and place. Legislative members will receive allowances as provided by law, with limitations on the number of days they can claim these allowances unless otherwise authorized. Funding for the committee's operations will come from the appropriations made to the Senate and the House of Representatives. The committee is required to submit a report of its findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, by December 1, 2016, provided the report is approved by a majority vote of a quorum. If no approved report is produced, copies of the meeting minutes can be filed instead.
