AI Summary
This bill, titled "Public accommodations," aims to establish that local governments cannot enact laws requiring places of public accommodation, private clubs, or other non-public establishments to allow individuals to use multiple-occupancy bathrooms or changing facilities regardless of their biological sex, which is defined as the physical condition of being male or female as stated on a birth certificate. It also mandates that multiple-occupancy bathrooms and changing facilities on public property, including state and local government property, must be designated and used only by individuals based on their biological sex, with exceptions for custodial, maintenance, medical assistance, or accompanying minors. Furthermore, local school boards are required to ensure that all multiple-occupancy bathrooms and changing facilities designated for student use are designated and used only by students based on their biological sex, also with specific exceptions for situations like custodial duties, maintenance, medical assistance, or when a student requires assistance from an authorized individual. The bill defines "multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facility" as a space designed for more than one person at a time where individuals may be undressed, and "single occupancy bathroom or changing facility" as a space for one person at a time.
