This bill would amend the "New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act" to allow smoking at laboratories and other facilities that have been approved by the Department of Health to permit smoking for the purpose of medical or health-related scientific research. As provided under current law, the Commissioner of Health is authorized to adopt rules and regulations to effectuate the purposes of this provision.
