AI Summary
This bill, the "Human Trafficking Prevention Act," aims to combat the proliferation of obscenity and its link to human trafficking by requiring businesses, manufacturers, wholesalers, or individuals that provide Internet-accessible products to install and operate a digital blocking capability that renders obscenity inaccessible. The bill establishes a procedure for consumers to deactivate the digital blocking capability, a reporting system to unblock content that is not obscene, and criminal penalties for violations. It also authorizes the Attorney General to seek injunctive relief against non-compliant entities and allows consumers or the Attorney General to file civil suits for unresponsiveness to reports of obscene material breaching the filter.
