This bill amends the Medical Assistance Act to change the eligibility provisions. Specifically, it adds a new eligibility category for persons described under Section 1902(a)(10)(A)(i)(VIII) of the federal Social Security Act, known as the "Medicaid expansion" population. The bill requires the state to submit a state plan amendment to cover this newly eligible group and specifies that they must receive the "Secretary-approved coverage" benchmark benefit package, which includes the full Medicaid benefits as of January 1, 2017. The bill also repeals the original Section 68-915 of the Revised Statutes.
