This bill would prohibit a county or municipal police department or force, a county corrections department, or a sheriff's office,, which employs law enforcement officers from entering into, and the governing body of a county or municipality from approving, a memorandum of agreement with the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE), pursuant to 8 U.S.C. s.1357(g), for its law enforcement officers to enforce any provision of federal immigration law on behalf of the ICE.
