This bill amends and adds to existing law to expand Medicaid eligibility in the state of Idaho. Specifically, it requires the state to amend its Medicaid plan to cover individuals under 65 years old whose modified adjusted gross income is at or below 133% of the federal poverty level, and who are not otherwise eligible for other Medicaid coverage. The bill also authorizes the state's Department of Health and Welfare to take all necessary actions to implement this Medicaid expansion as soon as practicable.
