This bill amends the definition of "health insurance coverage" in Rhode Island's Individual Health Insurance Coverage law to include short-term limited duration policies and policies that pay on a cost-incurred basis, except for certain types of limited coverage such as accident, disability, or workers' compensation insurance. The bill also removes the exclusion of short-term limited duration insurance from the definition of "health insurance coverage." The bill takes effect upon passage.
