Senator Roger A. Picard (Democrat - District 20, Woonsocket, Cumberland) was born on January 26, 1957. He is married to Diane and they have three children, Nicole, Kristen, and Caitlyn.
Senator Picard is a social worker for the Woonsocket School Department. He is a graduate of Woonsocket High School, 1975; University of Rhode Island, B.A./B.S., 1979; Rhode Island College, MSW, 1995.
Prior to serving in the Rhode Island Senate, Senator Picard served in the House of Representatives from 1992 until his election to the Senate in 2008.
