Democrat L. Grace Spencer, of Newark, was first elected to the New Jersey General Assembly on November 6, 2007.
Born March 15, 1968, Ms. Spencer received her Bachelor of Arts in business management from Rutgers University-Newark; and her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School. She is a professional-liability-law attorney at the firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin.
Ms. Spencer represents the 29th Legislative District, which includes the Essex County municipalities of Belleville and a portion of Newark.
