This bill directs the commissioner of the New York State Department of Health to apply for a waiver from the federal government to implement a work requirement for able-bodied adult recipients of Medicaid. The waiver would require these recipients to participate in community engagement or employment activities, with gradually escalating hourly requirements over the course of one year.
