This bill prohibits the practice of conversion therapy, which refers to practices or treatments that seek to change an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity, on individuals under the age of 18. It also makes it unlawful for any person to provide conversion therapy for monetary compensation or to advertise such services. The bill further prohibits the use of state or local government funds for conducting, referring, or providing health benefits coverage for conversion therapy, or for funding entities that provide such services. The bill amends the Uniform Credentialing Act to include providing or advertising conversion therapy as grounds for disciplinary action against a credential holder.
