This bill amends the environmental conservation law to provide a New York state tax credit equal to the cost of fishing and small and big game licenses for volunteer firefighters and volunteer ambulance workers. The bill also entitles certain groups, such as members of the Shinnecock and Poospatuck tribes, members of the U.S. armed forces, and residents of New York who are blind or over the age of 70, to receive various fishing and hunting licenses free of charge.
