This bill modifies the Parents of Stillborn Children Tax Credit. It expands the eligibility for the credit to include individuals who gave birth resulting in a stillbirth, regardless of whether a certificate of birth was issued. The credit amount remains at $2,000 per stillbirth and is available retroactively for tax years beginning after December 31, 2015. The bill also clarifies the definitions of "certificate of birth" and "eligible individual" for the purposes of claiming the tax credit.
