This bill amends the Public Officers Law to require certain individuals, including statewide elected officials, state officers or employees, members of the legislature, legislative employees, political party chairmen, candidates for statewide elected office or the legislature, and members of economic development councils (even if they are volunteers), to file annual financial disclosure forms. The forms must be filed with the Joint Commission on Public Ethics, except for members of the legislature and legislative employees, who file with the Legislative Ethics Commission. The bill specifies the deadline for filing the forms as May 15 for the preceding calendar year.
