This bill requires the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) to initiate a request for proposal by July 1, 2020, to outsource the ongoing maintenance of desktop support and management systems for all state agencies in Oklahoma. The contract must be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal achieves guaranteed savings to the state compared to the current desktop support and management provided by the OMES Information Services Division. The bill also directs OMES to promulgate rules and establish procedures to implement the request for proposal. The bill will become effective on November 1, 2019.
