This bill authorizes the carry of concealed handguns on certain property, including municipal zoos and parks owned or operated by public trusts or nonprofit entities. It also clarifies that the law does not prohibit persons with valid handgun licenses or those otherwise lawfully in possession of firearms, machetes, blackjacks, loaded canes, hand chains, or metal knuckles from carrying or possessing such items on certain college, university, or technology center school property. The bill becomes effective on November 1, 2019.
