This bill amends the definition of "harassment" in the Administrative Code of the City of New York to include the illegal conversion of dwelling units, such as the subdivision of rooms, erection or demolition of walls, or moving of a building in violation of any state or local law, ordinance, code, rule or regulation relating to real property, buildings, or multiple dwellings. The bill also includes the occupancy or use of dwelling units in a class A multiple dwelling that would violate the Multiple Dwelling Law. The bill takes effect 90 days after it becomes law.
