The bill allows cities with a population of one million or more to enact a resolution to provide the same exemption at the local level, which would automatically amend the city's local tax laws. The bill also authorizes the Commissioner of Taxation and Finance to implement the provisions related to the elimination of sales tax on these animal medicines.
