This bill: Redefines the term "marijuana delivery device" to provide an exception for devices intended for the medical use of marijuana by smoking, allowing them to be purchased from vendors other than medical marijuana treatment centers. It also redefines "medical use" to include the possession, use, or administration of marijuana in a form for smoking. The bill restricts the smoking of marijuana in enclosed indoor workplaces and requires physicians to submit documentation if they determine that smoking is an appropriate route of administration for a qualified patient, other than a patient diagnosed with a terminal condition. The bill also increases the amount of marijuana in a form for smoking that may be dispensed to qualified patients. Additionally, the bill makes changes to the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research, including appropriating funding for its operations.
