This bill regulates political contribution activities by intermediaries, which are defined as individuals or entities that deliver contributions from others to candidates or committees, or solicit contributions to candidates or committees. When an intermediary delivers contributions totaling over $1,000, the intermediary must disclose the name, occupation, and address of each contributor over $99, the total amount of contributions under $99, and the dates the contributions were received and delivered. The recipient candidate, committee, or party must report the intermediary's information to the state Board of Elections. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2021, and the Board must notify candidates and committees of the new requirements.
