This bill directs the Iowa Department of Human Services to amend its administrative rules to increase the family income eligibility requirement for state child care assistance. Currently, the income limit is set at 150% of the federal poverty level, and this bill requires the Department to incrementally increase the limit by 5% every six months until it reaches 175% of the federal poverty level by January 1, 2025. The purpose of this change is to expand access to state child care assistance for more families.
