This bill enacts the Online Revenues and Expenditures Transparency Act, which requires the development of a single, searchable budget database website accessible to the public at no cost. The website will include information on annual state expenditures or funding actions provided to any entity, recipient, or agency, including the name, location, funding source, amount, and purpose of the funding. It will also include information on bond debt payments, local aid to cities and towns, annual revenues, annual bonded indebtedness, and links to any relevant state audits or reports. The bill requires the Director of the Budget to put the website into operation by February 1, 2021, and to update it as new data becomes available, with agencies required to provide the necessary data within 30 days.
