This bill amends the environmental conservation law to provide free hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses to active or reserve members of the United States armed forces or the organized militia of New York, and to certain honorably discharged veterans with 10 or more years of military service. The bill also maintains existing provisions for free licenses for members of the Shinnecock and Poospatuck tribes, residents of New York who are blind, and residents 70 years of age or older.
