This bill requires the commissioner of commerce, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to establish a federally facilitated marketplace for Minnesota to replace the existing MNsure health insurance exchange. The commissioner is required to develop an implementation plan and contract with a vendor to provide technical assistance in converting to the new federal marketplace. The bill appropriates funding from the general fund to the commissioner of commerce for the vendor contract. Lastly, the bill repeals the existing statutes related to MNsure effective January 1, 2021.
