This bill adds a new section to Idaho law to establish an employment and training program for individuals with income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level and for those who have recently lost eligibility for public assistance due to an increase in income. To enroll, participants must develop a plan with the assistance of a qualified nonprofit organization to achieve financial stability and attend a financial literacy or health coaching program offered by a qualified nonprofit. Eligible participants can receive up to $500 to be used for workforce training, healthcare expenses, or other uses identified by the Department of Health and Welfare, which is authorized to implement and enforce the provisions of this program.
