This bill proposes several changes to driver's license suspension laws in Minnesota. The bill also prohibits the Commissioner from suspending a license based solely on the fact that the person failed to pay a fine. Additionally, the bill requires the Commissioner and the State Court Administrator to provide annual reports on driver's license issuance, suspension, and revocation data, as well as charges, convictions, and fine payments related to driving offenses. Lastly, the bill requires the Commissioner to retroactively reinstate driver's licenses that were suspended solely due to failure to appear in court or pay a fine.
