This bill: 1. Authorizes motor vehicles to be equipped with certain lamps or devices underneath the vehicle as long as they do not emit light in violation of existing laws. 2. Allows certain emergency vehicles, such as fire department and medical staff vehicles, to display red or red and white warning lights. 3. Requires law enforcement officers to access an online motor vehicle insurance verification system during traffic stops or crash investigations to verify a driver's insurance coverage. 4. Establishes a Motor Vehicle Insurance Online Verification Task Force to facilitate the implementation of the online verification system. 5. Reduces the amount of initial premium that must be collected from insureds before motor vehicle insurance policies or binders can be issued. 6. Allows motor vehicle insurance policies to exclude named individuals from certain coverages, such as personal injury protection, liability, and uninsured motorist coverage. The goal of this bill is to improve the identification of uninsured motorists and aid in the enforcement of financial responsibility laws in Florida.
